NEWS LATINOBARÓMETRO 2010  

We have the pleasure to announce a couple of novelties in the Latinobarómetro collection: the publication of Latinobarómetro 2010, the opening of Latinobarómetro 2009 and 2008, the inclusion of Spain in the collection for years 2006 to 2010, and the complete update of the codes of political parties, regions and cities for the years 2005 to 2010.

ASEP INDICATORS IN THE SPANISH ECONOMIC, POLITICAL AND SOCIAL CRISIS  

The five most significant indicators have been shown here in previous occasions. The three economic indicators derive from the Consumer Sentiment Index (ISC) that compares R’s perceptions about his/her personal economic situation (Optimism, IO) and that of Spain (Evaluation of the Economic Situation, IESE) at present, in the past and in the immediate future. The two political indicators measure Satisfaction with how Democracy is working (ISD), and Satisfaction with the Government’s performance (ISG). ....

INTERPERSONAL TRUST  

A question that appears in almost all international comparative surveys is the 'Interpersonal Trust' question, usually asked in the following terms: "Generally speaking, would you say that most people can be trusted or that you need to be very careful in dealing with people?" As the world map shows, the world doesn't trust much other people. Leaving appart the Northern Europe region (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland), and six other countries with almost an equal number of people trusting and not trusting, the remaining ones fall under the equilibrium index. On the bottom side, Turkey, Trinidad and Tobago and Rwanda are the least trusty.
